Founded by two visionary and compassionate women, Frida Kashe and Erica Ellen, the Naretoi Foundation is a grassroots initiative based in Tanzania, committed to transforming the lives of widows, their families, and individuals living with HIV/AIDS. At the heart of Naretoi is a powerful mission: to restore dignity and empower widows through sustainable, life-changing interventions that uplift entire communities.

What We Do

For years, we’ve walked alongside women and children facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances — with empathy, action, and unwavering hope. Through community partnerships and local outreach, the Naretoi Foundation has made a lasting impact by:

Feeding over 200 families during the Christmas holidays, ensuring no one goes hungry during the season of giving.
Providing start-up capital and business mentorship to widows, helping them launch or grow their small businesses and gain financial independence.
Covering essential needs such as rent, school fees, and daily living expenses, enabling mothers to raise their children in stable, supportive environments.
Supporting widows living with HIV/AIDS, offering both practical resources and emotional care as they rebuild their lives with strength and dignity.
Partnering with orphanages in Kitumbeine, supplying food, chairs, and continued support to ensure vulnerable children grow up safe and nurtured.
